OH THERMODYNAMICS, PLEASE LET ME GRADUATE NAOOO!
Sigh.
Friends were with me today when I talked with my professor. Two of them sort of talked in my behalf. That was a really sweet gesture from them. But after almost half hour of talking and explnaining, prof won’t curve the grade or give me another chance however he suggested me to have my final exam rechecked by other professors. (Exams have 3 problems, each of the three professors teaching Thermodynamics this semester.) My only chance now is to reach the grade for removals.
Went directly to the other prof, asked him if he can recheck my paper. I got 0 on that so he was asking why would he recheck it if there were any points. A few minutes of convincing together with friends, he actually let me answer the final exam problem again. I was prepared as I answered the final exam last night. Hence, got 35 points from 0.
Other prof was not at the ME department and will be back on tomorrow or Thursday. I only need 5 points to be eligible for removals.
Whew. What a day. And prolly the next days will be the same.
Interview went well. They kept me waiting after for my third interview but later on told me that there will be no third interview. That is because they decided I can skip that and go to the supposedly fourth and final interview. HR will call me again for the schedule.
Fuck it, it was really my fault. :|
I’ve been itching to post something about my, hopefully, last week of university but loads of exams and requirements were to be finished. There’s really one class standing in the way of my graduation. Fucking Thermodynamics. I need 93% in the final exam to get a passing score or 80% to have the chance to take a removal exam. I took the exam last Friday, I was sure that I’ve answered 2 out 3 problems correctly. That is still short of getting 80%. I’m wishing to my gods that the professor will curve the final grades in that way I’ll have a higher chance of passing. If not, bye bye graduation.
On other news, I was exempted on my Biology final exam. I might also take a removal exam on Information Systems II. Normalizing databases is not my cup of tea. Which brings us to the last requirements this week, the working database software and final paper in that class.
3 exams to go. 2 final papers. 1 goal.
Gotta rest now.
Finally found my PE placement exam grades. I can clear my grad deficiencies. Well I have yet to pass Thermodynamics. :S
And yes I have an ugly handwriting. Cx
I should study now and do well in this last week.
I can conquer this.
I had a deal with my best friend in hs that if I pass UPCAT then I would shave my hair. Just because I’ve never done it. I passed but that deal did not happen. Cause I’d look terrible. Hahaha.
Another present deal is when I graduate on time(April 2012), I’ll have my first tattoo. I already have three ideas on the design but not where to have it inked.
Let’s see if I graduate on time and if this deal pushes through.
I might need another lap but doing the best(albeit very late) to finish all in one final lap.
Wait. I hate the lap metaphor for it implies race, a competition. College is absolutely not about competition, or at least in my opinion.
But anyway, I need to survive the the last two weeks.
